| DESIGN NAME: Sharing Joy PRIMARY FUNCTION: Lounge Chair INSPIRATION: The inspiration of this design comes from the posture that cats curl up in circles when they sleep. To combine it with minimalist style, we simplify and visualize it as an O-shaped element in geometry. The O-shaped element can be freely transformed to form a tunnel for cats to pass through, or it can be extended to the shape of the chair legs to maintain the concise consistency of the product. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Sharing Joy is a lounge chair that can be shared and interacted with pets. Construct a modern multifunctional lounge chair with soft product edges and simple geometric shapes. It has the dual function of satisfying people and pets to play and rest together at the same time. The cat and the owner can relax and meditate on the same chair and spend a good time together without disturbing each other's space. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: You can place the chair anywhere in your home to create a shared space for owners and pets. When used as shared furniture for pets, The o-shaped tunnel on the back of the seat is consistent with cat behaviour that likes to get into small Spaces. cats can rest and play in it. The increased area of the right armrest of the chair forms a cat jumping platform to meet the characteristics of cats like to jump high and look far, and increase the attraction of the chair for cats. When the sharing joy is used as a seat alone, the O-shaped space presented by the back of the seat can be used as storage space for magazines, pillows and other items. The right armrest has gone from a cat-jumping platform to a mini side table for teacups or phones. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The main frame is made of pipe bending and welding. The cushion part is connected with the main frame through screws after combining the finalized cotton and wood board. The skeleton of the backrest is molded to meet the need for strength and toughness. Then the backrest skeleton is covered with soft bag cloth and connected with the main frame. The platform can be connected with the main frame through screws according to the use requirements. People who own pets may think about this question: how to create an intimate and independent space for pets and their owners within a reasonable range. Based on this, we hope to start with furniture in daily life. Design a piece of furniture that adapts to pet behavior and daily needs through simple shape changes. CHALLENGE: The biggest challenge in the process of research and design is to find the coordination between the pet products and furniture size, in order to satisfy both the cat and the man in the comfort of the substances are used. Another challenge is adapting pet-shared furniture to the style of the home environment while meeting the basic functions.
