DESIGN NAME: Oxoki Mutant
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Cargo Motorcycle
INSPIRATION: The starting point for Oxoki Mutant are cargobikes, which are bicycles used to load people and goods. This Oxoki Mutant replaces the bicycle with a motorcycle assisted only by an electric motor. It does not have a pedelec system, only an accelerator to activate the motor that will give traction to the vehicle. There are motorcycles adapted with a box rear load for transporting goods. This motorcycles is based on the low front load (the load goes between the driver and the front wheel).
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Oxoki has developed a new vehicle: Oxoki Mutant, a cargo motorcycle to provide transport and mobility solutions in the Last Mile.
A vehicle able to an efficiently navigating traffic, providing great advantages of mobility over other vehicles of the same category.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Oxoki Mutant use is the same as any electric motorcycle with the particularity that the distance between the driver and the front wheel is much longer. That's why that the steering is connected to the handlebar through steering bars which transmit the turning movement from the handlebar to the front wheel.
This motorcycle has a 350L load capacity and three levels of electric motor assistance.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project began its conceptualization and design phase in 2019. During 2020, the first functional protototype was manufactured and is currently in search of financing for its transition to production and subsequent commercialization, which is expected in 2023.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Frame builded with a high strength and durable carbon steel for a reliable and comfortable ride.
Injected polypropylene based fairing, very resistant and easy to recycle.
Electronic components: Motor 1800W/3000W, dashboard digital LCD, 18650 lithium battery technology, integrated monitoring, EBS regenerative brake, led technology,
fleet management.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The objective of Oxoki Mutant is to be the best cargo motorcycle to offer Last Mile mobility and transport solutions. Thought, designed and created to contribute to the concept of "Smart Cities" and provide an efficient and sustainable mobility solution for the huge challenge of Last Mile logistics.
This motorcycle has been thinked to solve a series of challenges:
- Guaranteeing fast deliveries, avoiding traffic jams and parking difficulties.
- Be sustainable.
- Help to modernize cities, making them more friendly.
Actually, there is a functional and tested prototype.
CHALLENGE: The great challenge of this project is the creation of a two-wheeled motorcycle with a low front load that met all standards and approvals necessary to be able to circulate and to build a cargo motorcycle with a long path.
