| DESIGN NAME: Pu Shine PRIMARY FUNCTION: Resort Hotel INSPIRATION: The design concept is symbiosis with nature, and the inspiration mainly comes from an ancient Chinese poem"Zen" in the Zen courtyard behind the broken mountain temple has no national boundaries. It talks about the combination of heart and spirit. Puxiang Hotel adheres to the teachings of Buddhism and Taoism and treats guests with "Zen", which is intended to regulate the body and mind of tired guests, wash the complexity of their hearts and make their thoughts calm. We hope that with the design of close to human scale, every guest here can remove the burden and shackles and return to their original heart. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Building a hotel with Japanese Zen and minimalist style between Chinese mountains and rivers is itself a kind of cultural exchange and integration. Zen derived from ancient China has been inherited a new culture after it was introduced into Japan. It is intended for Zen. Although it is made by people, it seems to come from heaven. This is the highest evaluation of design in China since ancient times. The unity of nature and man is natural and skillful. This is also the highest level of "living" OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: A large area of the building appearance is made of black aluminum and warm straw paint, creating a minimalist Zen aesthetics through simple, elegant and beautiful senses. Hand made matte hammer wood grain copper plates decorated everywhere bring a warm texture to the clean space. The overall style of the guest room area adopts warm wood grain finish and warm straw paint, and cotton linen bedding to create a warm and comfortable home atmosphere PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was started in September 2016 in Jinfo Hills, Chongqing, China and completed in June 2020. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: After entering the black grille sliding door of the hotel, there is a flower bed with dry landscape elements. On both sides of the flower bed are the hotel's catering facilities and guest houses. The Central Waterfront of the two groups of buildings extends a red steel structure bridge straight into the canyon. We introduce light into the room in the empty patio in the lobby atrium, and fully mobilize the interaction between sunlight and the color inside the space. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: In addition to the soft tone and excellent selection of guest rooms, the most touching whole room can be in a real dark state. In order to prevent guests who have taken out their precious schedule to escape from the world from any sleep "interference&q TAGS: Japanese minimalist, Zen, Natural, Return to simplicity, Secluded, Buddhist ethics RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This project mainly studies the harmonious coexistence between man and nature and how to build a hotel returning to nature in the valley. Finally, we decided to take Zen as the main idea and build a Japanese minimalist hotel in this quiet valley. There is no limit to what you do. What is really the same as Zen in design is to return to "what it is" CHALLENGE: The most difficult part of the project is how to build natural buildings in the narrow canyon and how to integrate garden construction into the environment. In addition, the transportation of engineering materials in deep mountains is very inconvenient, and the environmental protection problems faced during construction are very serious.
