PRIMARY FUNCTION: Clothing
INSPIRATION: The design of the work is derived from the first "X" light insect photos of photographer Nick Veasey, and the insects in the photos are both emotional and rational beauty. I was deeply attracted by the insects, so the exoskeleton made into clothing.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: I think the photographer Nick Veasey insects under the "X" in the light of photos have seemingly Chinese ink and wash shade of color piece changes, there are animal bones structure of organic combination, so I combined the intangible cultural heritage of China palace lantern craft, red sandalwood spend pear as bone, spun silk yarn coloured glaze is clothed, combining with wire system skeleton and silk gauze, The layers of exterminated insect bones were constructed on the human body.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Vulnerability is the body's natural "airbag" that turns it into protection when we are faced with a difficult or mentally challenging situation. I think of this protection as an insect exoskeleton attached to our bodies, providing a temporary sense of security. I made this "exoskeleton" into clothes. It's beautiful and fragile, thin and tough.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Combining the palace lantern craft of China's intangible cultural heritage, after trying a variety of different materials and combinations, we finally chose the combination of iron wire skeleton and silk gauze, which is both light and flexible, to construct layers of exterior insect bones on the human body.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The design of the work is derived from the first "X" light insect photos of photographer Nick Veasey. Starting from the materials and combination methods, I combined with the palace lantern technology of China's intangible cultural heritage. Finally, I chose the combination of the two materials, the skeleton made of iron wire and the silk gaux, which is both light and flexible. It has the aesthetic feeling of sensibility and rationality.
