| DESIGN NAME: Project X-19 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sanitising Wristband INSPIRATION: https://youtu.be/YiM UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: You’ll always have sanitiser ready right where you need it with this liquid sanitiser dispensing wristband made from durable, hypo-allergic food grade silicone. The custom engineered internal containment system holds about 20 uses between refills, and is easily refillable with the Sanitising Station. Each wristband comes with a Sanitising Station containing 400ml of perfectly formulated liquid sanitiser that can be used to refill the wristband as well as dispense directly onto your hands. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Designed in the Netherlands, Proudly made in Thailand. The project started in April 2020 and launched in June 2021. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Made from soft-touch food grade silicone, our wristbands are lightweight and comfortable to wear. The high performance, sweat resistant materials are also hypoallergenic and sure to keep up with any active lifestyle. The silicone shell is injection molded, as are the ABS pieces on the outer and inner mechanisms. The 18 separate pieces are expertly assembled by hand by our dedicated assembly team. After working as an engineer at Microsoft, she decided she was better suited to design and went on to design school in America. Dana is a rare all around designer who can realise 3D and 2D as well as overall strategy. |
