DESIGN NAME: Sensory Aesthetic
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Wine Tasting House
INSPIRATION: The inspiration was the true universe of wineries. In order to reproduce that, I set many natural elements such as wood, stone, of a more closed character, which covers both the external and internal walls, in addition to leather in the furniture, resulting in an ambiance of a cozy and intimate place, ideal for good stories and great wines!
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This house was designed to enhance the experience of collecting and tasting a good wine.
A wine cellar in the middle of high trees in gardens of Mangabeira Palace in the city of Belo Horizonte in Brazil.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Inside the space, in front of the cellar, there is an eight-seater round table that caters to the brotherhoods of wine lovers. In addition, a gourmet countertop for support in the preparation of dishes and hygiene of cups, a shelf with various cups and rare labels already tasted and disposed as an affective tasting memory. If the Proposal is to toast outdoors, the deck offers plenty of comfort. The place has a bench that surround the whole house and also serves as a body guard, a wooden table, an armchair with high backrest and other smaller benches leave everything even more fluid and organic.
The glass cube invades the roomand gives relevance to its purpose of storing noble bottles, and benefits from the transparency so that, at any time, the wines suspended by wooden pipes, cease to be protagonists. The wide kitchen countertop beside has a sink, an ice bucket and a cooktop. It serves as a support to clean the glasses and for the preparation of the dishes!

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: I wanted to have a place not decorated with wine but that wine was the really center of it. And all the preparation and research involved personal visits on wineries around the world to get the point. The enviroment of that!
CHALLENGE: Usually we create two metal pipes for each bottle. In this case I wanted to have one thicker pipe that could have a dimension that support two bottles at the same time but they don`t bump in each other. Also we had the challenge to made this delicate and resistant. The culmination of a series of prototypes aimed at achieving this light result even thought having almost 400 bottles at one place. The lights that delineate the wine cellar featured this!
