INSPIRATION:
The symbol ∞ conveys the concept of endlessness and greatness.“Dancing with Nature” was constructed with stainless steel three sets of symbol ∞ are transformed and intertwined with the intention of expressing the vitality and energy of National Museum of Natural Science. Its smooth and vivid shapes highlight the infinite freedom of scientific exploration,symbolizing the growth of scientific knowledge without limitation and convey an atmosphere that is fresh, beautiful, and rejuvenating!

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This is a public art with wind structure, Pulsating with the breath of nature, it combines the visual beauty of a sculpture with the function of a wind-driven structure. It has a stainless steel body with three different surface textures. The beautiful flowing curves overlap in the space, and visitors circle it. Walking, you will see its rich expression from different angles. And feel the wonders between nature and science from it.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
The installation position of the sculpture is at the center point of the main moving line. Visitors can interact and approach work from all directions. It is a popular object for photographers and tourists.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in June 2018 and finished with installation in Taichung,Taiwan in October 2018

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
The work is made of stainless steel, but the sculpture is composed of 3 different bodies from the inside to the outside. The surface treatments are completely different, including mirror surface, polished surface, and titanium plating. In order to reduce the resistance caused by the weight of the parts, the two ends of the wind structure are composed of ball bearings and tapered bearings.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
This public sculpture with wind structure is installed on a central axis that runs through the National Museum of Natural Science. It is a very important landmark, mainly to echo the characteristics and functions of the National Museum of Natural Science, and hope that visitors can feel it when walking. To the wonders between nature and science.

CHALLENGE:
The public art of wind structure is the spiritual value of this sculpture. The most difficult thing is to consider the wind-driven structure in the process of creating the sculptural form, and to combine the two into one in the perfect design aesthetics. This is a big challenge. But the process is very interesting.

It is the first science museum to be built under the National Twelve Construction Cultural Projects of the Republic of China. The pavilion area is composed of the Science Center, Space Theater, Life Science Hall, Human Culture Hall, Earth Environment Hall and Botanical Garden.
