RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Boleslawiec is a city known in Poland for being a ceramics basin known not only in Poland but in the whole world. While working on interior designers took time for getting to know what the whole process of creating ceramics looks like: from how the paint and its colors are made, through creating shapes, to the final product. All this knowledge led to the transformation of the design to be not obvious, a bit modern but also showing history and process of Boleslawiec ceramic craftsmanship.
CHALLENGE: While entering the hotel, guests enter the path of discovering the history and the process of creating the local ceramics craftsmanship. The design challenge was how to make a ceramics-inspired interior not obvious, surprising, and attractive to the visitors.
