| DESIGN NAME: Neighbors Science City LN Residence PRIMARY FUNCTION: Apartment INSPIRATION: The design focuses on the combination with local cultural characteristics, which comes from the urban appearance of Guangzhou's inspiration. Extracting square boxes as design elements to reshape the urban neighborhood relationship and create neighborhood shared space, using modern modeling and new material collocation, combined with local cultural characteristics, throughout the lobby bar, restaurant, shared space, gym and multi-function meeting room and other public space. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: LN Residence is a high-end serviced apartment brand of LN (Lingnan) Holdings. It is located in Guangzhou modern science park, Guangdong Province, China, where is the central area of the development strategy in the east of Guangzhou and the demonstration base for the development of high-tech industries. The Residence inherits Lingnan's hospitality, it has not only the warm living of cutting-edge fashion, but also the star quality service of LN Hospitality. There are one room and one living room, two rooms and one living room, three rooms and one living room in the residence, 64-140㎡ in every room, and perfect functional zoning, rational use of every inch of space. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Extracting square boxes as design elements to reshape the urban neighborhood relationship and create neighborhood shared space, using modern modeling and new material collocation, combined with local cultural characteristics, throughout the lobby bar, restaurant, shared space, gym and multi-function meeting room and other public space. It’s not only to meet the needs of different business or long-term living groups, but also aims to create a shared space with warm, quality and fun, and bring a more soft and sweet life style for the busy urbanites. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in March 2020 and finished in January 2021 in Guangzhou Science City, Guangdong Province, China, where is the central area of the development strategy in the east of Guangzhou and the demonstration base for the development of high-tech industries. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: In the design of suitable material, according to the project positioning at first, LN Residence is the Youth Apartment Hotel of LN Hospitality. Facing more young guests, thus it needs more young and new elements in material, combined with a warm atmosphere. The new terrazzo is the first choice in recent years, which has the advantage of cost, seamless mark, arbitrary color matching and beautiful. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Design comes from life and needs. Meeting the most basic needs of the project, the space layout should flexibly consider the complexity of the actual use of space. In order to be more in line with the concept of neighborhood of LN Residence project, more functional elements of interaction and sharing are enriched with the spatial layout to give consumers more different experience. CHALLENGE: Because there are one room one living room, two rooms one living room, three rooms one living room and 64-140 square meters of them in the residence rooms, designers need to create a shared space with warm, quality and fun, to make rational use of every inch of space, complete the perfect functional zoning, reshape the urban neighborhood relationship, and meet the needs of different business or long-term living groups.
