| DESIGN NAME: Banchan and Cook PRIMARY FUNCTION: Restaurant INSPIRATION: With the raise of K pop, South Korean is a new trendy place for travel and people around the world amour Korean culture, including the its living style and dining habit. This florist restaurant is inspirited by some flower shops located in the secret lane in Korea. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Restaurant use bright natural wood as main tone decoration to match furniture and plants decorations, it creates a vogue and comfortable environment for customers taking a food journey. It looks more like one of the minimalistic dream garden. It provides a new light meal restaurant which combined the food culture from South Korea, customers could enjoy the modern Korean cuisine under the trendy Korean atmosphere. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The organic form of layout creates a smooth and interesting path for visitors touring in the florist garden. Self service instead of waiter serving increase the mobility of circulation flow during dining experience. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Mixture of real and artificial plants balances the sustainability, easy to maintain and also olfactory sensation, to make the people feel it is a real forever garden. Advanced glossy is applied to the plants to induce more reflection on lights and the effect is eye catching. Designer created a Korean Flower Garden for diner to enjoy the combinations of traditional and modern food at here, to feel the endless passion and vitality. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Interior area of 2000 sq ft TAGS: Florist, restaurant, Korean, minimalistic, wood, natural RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Study on indoor plants to find the most suitable species for the restaurant to enhance the atmosphere and the Korean identity. CHALLENGE: Jointed by indoor and semi opened dining zone create a fresh and diverse space for visitors in the concrete building. Sunroof above the semi opened zone let diners to gaze at the night sky during dinner or sunbath during lunch and afternoon tea. Innovative lighting design allows comfortable and sufficient brightless no matter the changeable lighting source, such as natural sunlight and artificial light blame.
