DESIGN NAME: Genki Forest
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Soda Sparklingwater
INSPIRATION: The design concept mainly comes from Apple's simple product design and Dieter Rams' design concept that less is more. The package using a large area of white, which is intended to reflect the simple and modern design sense; At the same time, influenced by the ancient Chinese calligraphy works, the large black word "pneuma" is adopted, which makes the whole product feel more oriental.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The eye-catching Chinese word "pneuma" here has three different meanings. The first one is product attributes and characteristics, that is, sparkling water. The second one is the brand attribute,as pneuma share the same meaning with Genki. Due to this, the word "pneuma" can easily establish the connection with the brand "Genki Forest". The third one is the meaning of lively, energetic, optimistic and healthy, which coincides with the health attribute of the product itself and the oriental cultural charm and oriental aesthetic concept of product design.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: IIn terms of bottle design, the overall outline gives people a smooth feeling, just like the smooth body curve of dolphins. The thinnest part is just in the part of the consumer's hand, which increases the stability and comfort of the grip in function. The shoulder of the bottle adopts a concave triangular pattern, which is arranged in a circle. Open and directional arrows are printed on the bottle cap, so that consumers can easily open it, and the interactive experience is improved.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in May 2018.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The products are packaged in PET, which means that the bottle contains a plastic material called polyethylene terephthalate, or PET for short. PET is a polymer produced by the combination of terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol. PET plastic has the characteristics of light weight, high transparency, and impact resistancewhich helps to prevent the escape of carbon dioxide. PET bottles have low environmental pollution and energy consumption, so it gradually replaces traditional packaging materials with the rising awareness of environmental protection.

CHALLENGE: We have noticed that it is important to make products be clear at a glance when placing them on the miscellaneous shelves. To solve that, we have adopted stimulating colors to draw intentions of consumers. We have also acknowledged the guiding functions of the general consumers colour recognition. We picked the quietly elegant colours such as large areas of black and white, given consumers a simple but fashion impression.
