| DESIGN NAME: Lakeside City PRIMARY FUNCTION: Club House INSPIRATION: Our inspiration comes from the Lanting gathering which has been passed down in Shaoxing for thousands of years. People get together to drink wine and write poems.The space is divided into two parts: the swimming pool and fitness centre are the first part, while the celebrity hall on the second floor, where people can enjoy the tea and the scenery. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a community club house.The project is located in Shaoxing City, next to Didang Lake and surrounded on three sides by the lake. The project traces the origin of Shaoxing's celebrity culture, and builds a celebrity club house by taking the elegance of the Lanting gathering. The space is divided into two parts: the swimming pool and fitness centre are the first part, while the celebrity hall on the second floor, where people can enjoy the tea and the scenery. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This is a Chinese community club.The project is located in Shaoxing City，next to Didang Lake and surrounded on three sides by the lake.The building and the landscape borrow the scenery to create a pure, open and elegant atmosphere. You can feel yourself in the embrace of the lake view only within a few steps.The designer applied traditional Chinese architectural elements wooden grilles and screens to refine the classic beauty. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in August 2019 in Shaoxing and finished in May 2020 in Shaoxing, and was exhibited in Shaoxing in May 2020. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The designer applied traditional Chinese architectural elements wooden grilles and screens to refine the classic beauty, creating a space with modern oriental aesthetics in the natural rhyme and rhythm.The building and the landscape borrow the scenery to create a pure, open and elegant atmosphere.The light and shadow caused by sunlight passing through the architectural grid accompany the flow of time, recording the interweaving interaction of time and space. The elegant events of literati in the Lanting pavilion, drinking and enjoying the scenery, have been passed down for thousands of years. CHALLENGE: Our biggest challenge is to use modern design techniques to create a Chinese club.The designer applied traditional Chinese architectural elements wooden grilles and screens to refine the classic beauty, creating a space with modern oriental aesthetics in the natural rhyme and rhythm.
