Applying the ancient Chinese mythological story of the water beast as a creative element and the Dunhuang mural colors from thousands of years ago marking the friendly exchanges between China and the world on the Silk Road to empower the culture value of this product.
This work not only shows the long history of human art and cultural heritage but also brings consumers to contemplation on the life.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: First of all, the designer integrates the book creativity into the packaging, which means that reading this book from beginning to end is like growing from youth to old. While our appearance changes, our inner beauty is gained.
Secondly, this case is a moisturizing facial mask specially designed for women.
The designer applies the ancient Chinese mythological story of the water beast as a creative element and the Dunhuang mural colors from thousands of years ago marking the friendly exchanges between China and the world on the Silk Road to empower the culture value of this product.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The designer integrates traditional culture with modern fashion to this brand-new cosmetics brand. This is the original intention of our mask. Through the study of history and ancient art, the designer uses a new way to manifest the classic and modern.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in July 2020 and completed in September 2020.
Designed, proofed and manufactured in Shenzhen.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The choice of materials is mainly made of degradable environmental protection paper, which emphasizes the harmonious coexistence of human and environment.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The outer package is 50 mm thick, 200 mm long and 110 mm wide.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This design is an upgrade case. Customers hope that the new scheme will have more China cultural connotations, and better display the gorgeous packaging, which is different from the packaging techniques used in the market.
After in-depth research, we find that consumers are more willing to spend on novelty and culture. Therefore, we decided to make some innovations: we will browse the form of books as a way of opening and closing the mask, and integrate the color art of Dunhuang murals to recreate the product
CHALLENGE: This package takes black as the base color, the picture color will be affected, not bright enough, it is difficult to open the picture space sense. Finally, the picture is treated with UV brightening technology to make the whole picture bright, and repeated bumping is used to enhance the sense of hierarchy of the picture.
