DESIGN NAME: Primary Residence
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Type Design
INSPIRATION: The inspiration originally came from the Bauhaus Movement. Additionally, I was inspired by the design of stairs and windows from different parts of the world, like the fire escapes of old buildings in New York City and urban windows in European cities.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Primary Residence is an alphabet design that represents minimal architectural forms in typography with three primary colors: red, blue, and yellow.
Each letter and number represents a small part of the buildings without any apparent entry or existence. You may look at it with your own imagination to find the way in or out. You could even find connections from one character to the next.
The stairs, windows, and geometric shapes are dedicated to the Bauhaus architectural style and minimalism, with the primary goal of blending the form and identities of the structure together.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This archetype style helps the viewer gain a greater appreciation of the abstract building. The stairs, windows, all geometric shapes all dedicated to Bauhaus architecture and Minimalist building to blend with the form and identity of the structure.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project started in March 2020 in New Jersey.
