DESIGN NAME: COseries
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Dynamic Identity
INSPIRATION: A diverse team of individuals, with passion for design and heart for people, dreamt of applying their thoughts, knowledge and experience into an original series of self-expression through the company logo. COseries was born to create impact on minds and lives. The inspiration came from Google’s famous doodles - alterations of the Google logo created to commemorate holidays, events, achievements, and historical figures.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: COdesign managed to make its mark in the design industry through this self-branding initiative. Unlike the rest, this series did not just portray the dynamism of the brand’s logo but also the creativity and expertise of the company and its members. The purpose was simple - design for impact and present the logo in various ways to communicate diverse stories.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: With a cohesive blend of design, psychology and technology, each design in this series has been crafted to be realized as a thought-provoking piece of art on its own, thus depicting how we can use our skills and expertise to positively impact the world for an improved future. Every piece has a tale that inspires the audience to imagine a better planet and to work towards it together. At COdesign, we believe that everyone deserves a better tomorrow.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The COseries project began in the year 2016 and continues to be a running project with new content planned and designed every month. The origin is Bangladesh but it caters to a global audience.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The team has taken a variety of approaches while executing each of the ideas in this series. While some concepts have been created using photo manipulation processes on Adobe Photoshop, others have been completely digitally illustrated using Adobe Illustrator; while some have been modeled and generated using 3D techniques and software like Cinema 4D and ZBrush, others have been hand-crafted with paper and scissors. The motion renders were generated using Adobe After Effects and Unreal Engine.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Horizontal & square dimensions for optimal viewing experience dependent on selection of platform/venue. However, the aspect ratio of the mark that is 2:1 (Width:Height) is the same for every final output (physical, digital, static or motion) throughout the series.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Every month, the creative team researches causes and occasions and decides on a number of concepts to showcase through this series. Brainstorming sessions are conducted every 3 to 4 weeks and the outcomes along with the evaluated data are collected and reimagined to develop content that is meaningful and informative. The series is created with all insights kept in mind at all times to provide the audience with a wholesome experience.
CHALLENGE: The challenges include the continuous process of learning and embracing new technologies and techniques with each new idea, as well as the portrayal of the concepts in a manner that stays relevant and meaningful to the audience. Keeping the content confined to the CO shape is quite demanding too. Execution requires more solution-based thinking compared to the ideation phase, and that's when most of the challenges occur and are solved by the team.
