DESIGN NAME: Reuniting
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Space
INSPIRATION: By the arrangement of space and layout, the home design integrating the local environment extends the indoor space to the greatest extent. The natural elements can flow smoothly in the residence, in which an adequate daylight and fresh air benefit the mental and physical health.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The design project advocates the concept of green decoration as its core value. The entirety including the space arrangement, traffic flows, illuminations, wood sheets, eco-friendly paints, and electrical equipment conforms to the idea of green environment that supports energy saving and reduces carbon emission.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The apparent floor-to-ceiling windows in the public area make the gorgeous outdoor scenes flow naturally in the residence. The open island counter and the big dining room intensify the reunited sense in the public area where encloses a strong emotional connection.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project finished in September 2019 in Taipei, Taiwan.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The designer used numerous eco-friendly and healthy materials encompassing the natural stones, wood veneers, solid woods, etc. The entire natural wood oils and paints with green building material label. The low-formaldehyde wood sheets, the eco-friendly engineered flooring, and the LEDs as the only indoor illumination altogether make this home a perfect example a healthy and eco-friendly residence.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The project is 172 square meter.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Regarding the study room, the designer applied the design skill of overlying on the boundary between the public and private area. It is both a hall and a study room, where the semi-transparent sliding door makes the arrangement of space more flexible.
