| DESIGN NAME: Antique Chinese Style PRIMARY FUNCTION: Alloy Window INSPIRATION: Antique architecture with Chinese characteristics, such as Hui style, Su style and Beijing style, has sprung up in the city. However, the matching traditional Chinese wooden windows are complex to produce and not durable. Viewing this, the designer combines modern aluminum alloy window frames with traditional Chinese wooden windows. The retro geometric modeling and wood grain texture are designed to adapt the products to antique Chinese architecture of various styles. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This product features the sturdiness and durability of aluminum alloy materials while retaining the traditional aesthetic, making it more convenient for installation and maintenance. On top of that, a variety of window opening mechanisms are designed by envisioning the use scenarios in advance, which ensures an outstanding experience for all users. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The product provides excellent thermal insulation and convenient long-term maintenance. In addition, it is equipped with a smart security system for pre-warning, which can trigger the alarm device in case of damage to the protective structure. A variety of window opening mechanisms are offered, such as voice command, mobile APP, wind and rain sensing. It allows real-time monitoring of PM2.5 levels and prevents sand and rain from entering, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project commenced in Chuzhou, Anhui province on May 1, 2019, and was completed on November 8, 2019. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Retro geometric modeling and wood grain transfer printing process are involved in the design of windows frames and sashes. The neat and clean texture lines well restore the antique Chinese architecture of various styles such as the Imperial Palace and Classical Gardens of Suzhou. Different from the purely handcrafted traditional wooden windows, the product is produced and processed by automatic equipment. It enables greatly-enhanced product quality and higher production efficiency. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 1500mm x Depth 80mm x Height 1500mm TAGS: Antique, Chinese-style, Al-alloy, Safe, Durability RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The data of windows are mainly based on various product standards, laws and regulations and technical protocols of hardware, fasteners, glass, and sealing materials related to aluminum alloy windows. The products have passed the professional third-party testing on the physical properties of windows and have stronger sound insulation and thermal insulation performance. It allows up to 50,000 times of repeated opening and has a service life of over 30 years. CHALLENGE: Exquisite lines require higher standards in the production process. In order to reduce technical difficulties and achieve mass production, the designer needs to constantly adjust the design sketches and moulds to optimize the structure.
