RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Design by a self-taught designer from the Cayman Islands who utilizes visualization to map and conceptualize the design. This method is combined with research using a combination of internet search and discussions with relevant individuals to gather the intricate details that help make the design reflective of the era.
CHALLENGE: The most challenging design element is the time and effort to sculpt the design with the metal wire. This took extensive time to carve, frame, and secure before the fabric base could be applied.
