DESIGN NAME: LiNing 8th Gen
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Flagship Store
INSPIRATION: In the image design of the eighth generation flagship store of LiNing, the designers take running tracks and basketball gyms as the sources of inspiration, organically integrate professional products for running exercise and basketballs and all sorts of fashion products including sports fashion and China LiNing in the same store, highlighting professional sports attributes and the fashion life atmosphere of the brand.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: LiNing, an international fashionable professional sports brand, has been interpreting its slogan "anything is possible" with actions. From space design to shelf display, the store shows different space atmospheres in different theme areas. Various categories of goods are laid out in a clear and observable pattern to facilitate customers selecting goods and bring them a multi level shopping experience.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The store entrance is an area displaying running exercise commodities. The design is inspired by the running tracks. The RGB color changing light belt at the top are lined regularly. The lights shine in rhythm, pairing with the running models below, for a dynamic display to attract the sight of people hurrying to and fro. The LED screen in the middle of the store is inspired by the LED screen at the top of basketball gym, which along with the focus display of the basketball models below, formulates the atmosphere characteristics of the basketball theme commodity exhibition in the middle.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in December 2019 in Liuzhou and finished in May 2020 in Liuzhou.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The colorful and bright sign on the exterior facade of the store illustrates the LiNing brand style of youth, vitality, sport and fashion. The interior space is decorated with simple cement materials, looking fashionable and personalized, while setting off the product highlights. The store shelves are largely made of metal and stainless steel, with carbon fiber texture finish. They can be disassembled and recycled to minimize waste of resources.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The store's area is 2049 sqm.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The store image of the eighth generation is the result of continuous development and perfection following the development of the times. With the successive presentation of various types of stores with different conditions, the store image of the eighth generation has been enhanced and perfected in terms of decoration, gadgets, lighting and experience systems, forming a set of dynamic and continuous store image standards.
CHALLENGE: The challenge for this project was to design a flagship store that was not cliched and still felt relatable.
