DESIGN NAME: V Series
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Orchard Mulcher
INSPIRATION: The V mulcher series was designed after a complete rebranding of the company. The idea was to use only the latest technologies that give a superior and consistent quality of workmanship within the limitations of the material. The appearance of the machine is derived from the redesigned logo and features sharp motion-oriented lines, large flat surfaces, and distinctive details. Bold graphics were used to potentiate the main directions of the form and emphasize dynamics.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The headstock was designed to resemble the characteristic silhouette of Mount Rtanj, at the foot of which the company is located. The mountain has many positive connotations locally which helps builds trust. The reinforced side mask represents a horse's head, a symbol of strength, fidelity, and perseverance, further associating with the brand. Robustness is highlighted by ribs, while the impression of orderliness and discipline is achieved by concealed joining and bolt layout.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Several variations of the machine with different options of the headstock and output assembly are available. The side shift attachment frame allows three types of attachment to the tractor - front, rear, or both, and is available in manual or hydraulic shift option. The output assembly is available as a rubber curtain or counter-knives for fine shredding. Three working grips are available - 155, 180, and 200cm. The presented model features a hydraulic offset, front and rear-mounting, and rubber curtain.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Product design and development took one and a half years to complete. The project was executed in Belgrade and Boljevac, Serbia.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The strong physiognomy is dominated by sharp, directed forms, and massive faceted details. Elongated silhouette in the direction of movement complies with the latest CE certification rules. Special attention was given to the attachment frame, as it is one of the elements often overlooked when designing this type of product. The design simplifies the production of skids and the side mask, a characteristic part that leaves the manufacturer space to demonstrate quality workmanship.
CHALLENGE: Maximum usage of laser cutting, large surfaces, and a minimum number of bends was planned to simplify production and avoid potential errors in production. Interventions in form details that allow easy positioning and fitting of elements, as well as notches that define the positions and length of weld lines, were implemented. The main objective was to reduce the human factor and minimize the number of operations while achieving the quality of workmanship at the level of European competition.
