| DESIGN NAME: Stirling Road PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Apartment INSPIRATION: Retaining some of the 70s design to fit into the modern era. Fusion both new and old in this minimalist space To work with the bathroom which was 2 separated small cubical for shower and sanitary we combine the 2 area into one bathroom. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The residential planning and design case was for the renovation of a 50-year-old residence. With respect to home repair, we resolved the water leaking problem, elevated the floor to improve the inclination issue. For the living room we knock down the kitchen walls to allow natural light to pass through at the same time making both living and kitchen looks larger and airy. This case also faced the issue of its bathroom and living room. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Knocking down the kitchen walls to allow natural light to pass through at the same time making both living and kitchen looks larger and airy. This helps to create an endless kitchen, yard, dining and living area by blurring the space in between. Combing the 2 small area of cubical for shower and sanitary it create a better flow of the space for better usability. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: We redesign the flow of the living space by knocking down various walls to archive the outcome SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 65 square meter floor area TAGS: Interior Design, Residential, Apartment, Space, Home RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Understand of Client ideal lifestyle , needs and wants CHALLENGE: Source for items and materials to fit the retro 70s style but in a modern design look is a challenge. However by using strong colors to make the modern looks we offset the the 70s looks using neutral color furniture to make a balance.
