| DESIGN NAME: Leding Bespoke PRIMARY FUNCTION: Retail Space INSPIRATION: "Traces are invisible. They perceive the flow of time through objects." -Greater Dog. It was fascinated to see different fabrics, plate making, tailoring, even old sewing machines and ironing tools, and these objects have inspired designers. So designers brought the rough, primitive, fundamental and forgotten objects back to the modern life. Consequently, It is not just only a retail space sells a high quality suits in a fashionable way, but also evokes the memory of the process of hand made era. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Time Flow. As time goes by, suits are gradually shaped from a piece of fabric. The movable cubes "Time Flow" expresses this wonderful regard. Body measurement and cutting. The function of space is to arrange the circulation around the "Time Flow", setting up a space for sewing and tailoring. The long terrazzo table in VIP lounge is connecting the space from inside to outside, which emphases the geometric structure language of the whole space. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: In the whole design process we normally have four design phases to complete one project, which includes conceptual design phase, schematic design phase, construction drawing phase, construction phase. We work on each phase to support this project until its finish perfectly. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: MATERIALS: Floor: Polished white tile , hand lay-up at the site. Wall: Textured white paint & Blue paint plate with baking finished & Grey textured wallpaper. Ceiling:Textured white paint & Black Matte Mental by welding and cutting. Lighting: LED Strip Light, Spot light and track spot lights. Staircase: Black Matte Mental by welding and cutting. Other features: Blue laminated glass & Yellow mirror metal plate & Blue veneer & White terrazzo & 3D printed portrait and props. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Movable cubes "Time Flow" : 100mm100mmx100mm for each cube, Quantity: 698 cubes. Yellow mental display table: Long 5000mmx Width 900mmx Height 650mm. White terrazzo display table: Long 4500mmx Width 700mmx Height 550mm. Buttons & accessories display frame on wall: Long 250mmx Width 250mmx Depth 50mm. Superior products display cabinet: Long 2400mmx Width 800mmx Height 750mm. Clothes rail: Long 1200mmx Width 550mmx Height 30mm. Tailor counter: Long 3020mmx Width 800mmx Height 750mm. 3D printed portrait & hand & body props: 1:1 scale of human body. TAGS: The trace of hand made, Readable space, Express "Time Flow" poetically, Various scales application of "body" Visual narrative RESEARCH ABSTRACT: A narrative space through objects designer found in the process of custom-made suit, and also telling the precision of measuring bodies. CHALLENGE: The main entrance of Leding Bespoke is on the second floor, and the only way is through the stairs enter space. How to combine the entrance and the staircase was a big challenge. Therefore, the designer applied blue laminated glass at the side of stairs, and placed lots of cubes around it, makes the little cubes growing in a big blue glass cube lively. Meanwhile, it is like coming out of a blue block when consumers enter the space, which is an interesting invitation for the guests.
