RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The concept Future Tribes stems from the mission of Centrestage to discover the most contemporary fashion talents in Asia. Echoing the shows pioneering spirit, our team research envisaged a new future look by learning from the past. We researched into various cultural origins, symbolisms, runes, belief system and aesthetic details mixed with technology to create a new visual identity and reality for the show. Our design was aimed to create a radical and fearless future in fashion for a new generation.
CHALLENGE: The challenging for the creative research was defining a design language to position a fresh contemporary feel for this show. By discovering and examining the roots of many different human cultures helped us to define a new look. For example, taking influence from Viking runes, ancient hieroglyphics, tattoos and mixing these to create a new design language and typography. Our purpose was to uplift and differentiate the image of Centrestage from other fashion trade shows in the region.
