| DESIGN NAME: Portable Multi Layer Steamer PRIMARY FUNCTION: Steamer INSPIRATION: Steamers on the market are large in size, take up a lot of space, and are heavy and not easy to carry, which limits the collection of some hobbyists who like to make food. We want to design a steamer to save space, easy to carry, and bring people More possibilities. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a portable steamer, the biggest feature is that the internal cage can be folded to compress the storage space, easy to store and carry. The cage inside the steamer is a metal structure, which can be unfolded and folded. The cage is interspersed and can be combined together. The outside is heat-resistant transparent plastic material, which can also be compressed. Connect. Easy to operate. The overall volume is small, the volume after storage will be smaller. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Assembly and storage of steamer: Select the number of cage drawers according to the quantity of food, pull out or fold the cage drawer outward, and stretch or fold the outer insulation layer. Steaming: 1. Rotate the black knob switch to select different gears of the steamer. 2. Turn the outer metal knob to set the cooking time. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Augest 2019 in Hebei and finished in January 2020 in Hebei China. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The steamer shell is made of pvc and ABS material, which is the same as the traditional steamer shell. The steamer of the cage drawer is a stamping process. The bracket of the material 403 stainless steel cage and the steamer are screw links. Resin has the characteristics of elasticity, high temperature resistance and transparency. The two ends are magnetically linked to the bottom and lid of the pot, and no magnets are embedded at both ends. This is a steamer. Each steamer can be folded through the structural design, which can save a lot of space in storage. The transparent insulation layer on the outside can be adjusted with the height of the steamed slice. Meanwhile, the transparent effect can also enjoy the process of turning the internal ingredients into a delicious meal. In terms of materials, this steamer needs to use special materials except for the outer insulation cover. In other aspects, it is consistent with the material of the steamer on the market. The structure of the steamer also belongs to the traditional mechanical structure. CHALLENGE: Because the steamer needs to be folded or stretched to achieve the purpose of portability and variable volume, the structural design and dimensional precision of the steamer is an important issue. We have designed a variety of solutions for this and selected the best solution among them . At the same time, we need to have a sufficient understanding of the material characteristics of steamer innovation, so the choice of steamer material is also our key research object.
