| DESIGN NAME: Yue Lake Academy PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sales Center INSPIRATION: The design was inspired by the elegant charm of aesthetics in the Song Dynasty and ritual culture in Lingnan. Based on this, Mind Design aims at building an academy architectural model playing out the connotation and strength of the space, so that people, living in the fast-paced new era, have the chance to reconcile their emotions, have a relax, and experience the ideal living environment with humanistic temperature here. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: With the core concept of 'To Be the Best' in this project, Mind Design condenses the artistic trend of the beauty of rationality and philosophy from the connection of Neo Confucianism and aesthetics in Song Dynasty, expresses the profound ideas in a romantic fashion based on nature, humanity and art. To achieve the delicate equilibrium between space art and commercial value, as well as to create a pure and elegant atmosphere, Mind Design generalizes the spatial style into a deeper level. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The open reception area with a multi-access courtyard guides visitors to start immersive space experience. The symmetrical beauty of the design from hard decoration to soft decoration is inheriting and deducting the oriental ritual order thought. In addition, base on contemporary architectural language, the space is impressed by simple and condensed feelings. In the 7-meter-high space, the metal and wooden grilles are used to enclose the screens around, which makes the space broad and amazingly grandeur. Then the reception desk will catch your eyes by the unique and original shape. As embellished by luminous glass bricks and tiles and the screen of silk ink painting, the space emerges more rhythmic and poetic. Copper vessels, inspired by the Chinese pattern of 'Begonia Massoniana', stand in the center of the space, matching with the light and shadow, mildly and poetically. The design for building model area aims at present extraordinary volume of the space in such simple and generous order, with a base made of wooden materials, no complicated and miscellaneous decorations as a whole. The hanging lights conjuring the image of "slight wind brings gentle waves, together with the river full of stars", accompanied with the brilliant and rhythmical changes between light and shadow in the meantime brings the aesthetic feeling of simplicity and profoundness. In the negotiation space, a large area of wood, cotton and light white linen color complement each other, while the screen, floor lighting as a partition, make the space more smooth. The warm and natural oriental elegance is flowing in the space, which makes people enjoy themselves at ease when they are sitting and talking. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 2617 square meter TAGS: Keep the balance between space art and commercial value RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The design was inspired by the elegant charm of aesthetics in the Song Dynasty and ritual culture in Lingnan. And the literati in Song Dynasty upheld rationality and innovation. They studied the abstract internal characteristics through the superficial images, so as to concern the life experience and the spiritual world presentation. Therefore, in the design of this case, we try to integrate the rationalism and academic spirit of Song Dynasty into the aesthetic construction of space, annotate nature and ritual order with artistic and modern morphemes, so that space reflects the thickness and temperature of humanity in rationality.
