| DESIGN NAME: Roots PRIMARY FUNCTION: Home Carpets INSPIRATION: I was inspired to create felt carpets definitely my roots, the art of our country, the philosophy of the life of our ancestors. These three pillars have been an inspiration to me. When I look at our national carpets, native Kazakh patterns, my soul becomes calm, it all takes me back to my childhood. I am motivated by the desire to preserve this wonderful technique that has been passed down from generation to generation, from elders to young ones. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Surprisingly durable, warm and soft, felt carpets have been widely used in the everyday life of nomads since ancient times.The Kazakh people call felt carpets "Syrmak". The advantages of such products are: 1.exceptional density; 2. reduced thermal conductivity; 3. tactile sensations from touching the material. 4.Environmentally friendly The technology of making felt carpets does not require special equipment, so anyone who wants to can make a carpet for themselves. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: For felt carpets, coarse varieties of autumn sheep wool are used.After shearing the sheep, the felting of carpets begins.Everything is explained by the structure of the fiber: the surface of the hairs is heterogeneous, has scales. When felting, under the influence of hot water or steam, they cling to one another Thanks to the felting technique, carpets become dense, very warm and pleasant to the touch SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Carpet sizes:Length 3000mm/Width 2000mm/Heigh 100mm Syrmak care 1. Carpet washing is prohibited. You cannot invite cleaning companies to your home. Dry cleaning allowed with specialized equipment of the factory 2. It is not advisable to vacuum the carpets yourself with a nozzle with a stiff brush - the original appearance of the carpet will gradually fade away 3. If liquid gets on the carpet, it should be blotted with a napkin, do not rub, contact a dry cleaner 4. Do not remove stains yourself with household products. Due to their manufacturing technique, mosaic carpets will be the most complex and more durable (from 50 to 100 years in use).
