PRIMARY FUNCTION: Advertising Illustrations
INSPIRATION: There were a number of of visual inspirational avenues the client wanted myself to explore, absorb, and integrate and fuse together to create simplistic whimsical yet elegant classy line art illustrations during the process of developing and creating the series of line art illustrations for this project; from admiring the line art work of Paul Klee, Jean-Michel Basquiat, a 1960s Mod style fashion and Vespa motor scooter culture past to present time, and bob cut hairstyle for women.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Branding and advertising illustrations created for an Italian restaurant call, Mercatto located in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada for two different locations.
The goal of this illustration project was to portray an Italian male becomes the storytelling tour guide and host in a sense for all customers and he has the perfect European Italian lifestyle with himself in action doing a variety of activities and loving his great Italian food, and is a lifestyle that business women and men desire.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: -
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The illustration project started during the beginning of the month of June, 2013 in Toronto and was completed and printed at the end of June of 2013.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The materials applied to create these illustrations were pencil and black ink colored drawing pens on bright white smooth surfaced Strathmore brand mix-media drawing paper.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The series of line art illustrations were created individually within 11 inches wide by 14 inches high size separate pieces of paper.

CHALLENGE: There were a number of of visual inspirational avenues the client wanted myself to combine during the research, understanding and discovery to realization stages explore, absorb, and integrate and fuse together to create simplistic whimsical yet elegant classy line art illustrations during the process of developing and creating the series of line art illustrations for this project; from admiring the line art work of Paul Klee, Jean-Michel Basquiat, a 1960s Mod style fashion and Vespa motor scooter culture past to present time, and bob cut hairstyle for women.
It was a challenge to have all of these pieces of inspiration in mind while I was developing my work overall, and eventually make my design decisions to be filter out what was absolutely necessary in terms of detailing with simplification in action too in order to create my illustrations.
