| DESIGN NAME: Leea PRIMARY FUNCTION: Multifunctional kids chair INSPIRATION: Leea's Tower was created by a father trying to solve the real problems that modern parenting faces: - to provide inspiration for parents in organizing educational activities for kids - to decrease the large number of physical objects needed for a limited period of time in order to entertain and educate a growing child - to keep kids away from screens - to make physical reality interesting again - to provide context for adult-child interaction and connection UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Leea's Tower is a multi functional and convertible play furniture designed for kids from 1 to 5 years of age. It transforms in seconds from observation tower to activity desk , slide and high chair. It also includes a shape sorter game and a table hockey game, made of already existing parts. It can be accessorized with activity boards for even more activities. It is on wheels and can be moved from one place to another easily. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Functions of this object can be changed very easily by re arranging its component parts. The object can be placed vertically or horisontally on the floor. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Plywood, CNC cutting technology SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 98/50/40 cm TAGS: multifunctional, learning tower, slide, kids, toddlers, activity desk, high chair, RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Research was made intensively for years, by observation of parent-child interaction, setup of kids educational and entertaining activities, and experimentation with objects that have multiple usage and provide solutions for development of childrens skills and abilities and adult-child interaction and transfer of knowledge. We tried to obtain a practical and multi functional object that is also a piece of furniture with multiple use and also a playground or a support system for play and learn activities. The idea started from the observation that children's activities during the day have to be very diverse, and also the living environment needs to be adapted to a child's size in order for the child to be able to better fit and learn about practical life. Impact on child development and adult-child relationship is huge. The more opportunities we give the child to develop her motric skills, the understanding of practical things, the possibility to explore and learn about the daily life, the better the child will perform later in life. Multi functionality is very important , especially when diversity and flexibility is required. Not only the child grows fast, and the furniture has to be adjusted to its changing size, but also we have to offer diversity. Long term usage has an impact on the environment. A durable object that can be used for years and even passsed on to the next child is a huge advantage for the environment.
