| DESIGN NAME: Time Memory PRIMARY FUNCTION: Ring INSPIRATION: The inspiration of this project comes from time and happiness. Inadvertently, with the passage of time, people grow old quietly, but the eternal pursuit of happiness is the soul. Without a ring, people can recall their young happy life, which is a valuable humanized design. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: With gold, silver and jade as the main design materials, the ring has become a series of natural and random metal jewelry design. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The ring is used to participate in personalized activities and places such as etiquette, parties and social platforms to highlight fashion and personality, youth, nature and vitality. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Products began in July 2019 and completed in November 2019. Design in Shenyang, China. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The production technology of this ring is the combination of die forging, hot-melt processing, cooling technology and manual grinding. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The ring is 3-5cm long, 5cm high and 3cm wide. Foam and carton packaging with pressure and impact resistance. TAGS: Ring, Time, Life, Vitality, Youth, Old people, Young people RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This series of ring product design is a time themed commemorative product for the elderly and young people. The purpose is to let the young people take it with them to have a good time and let the elderly take it with them to recall the happy life. Its modeling design comes from nature, giving people the soul of time and life. CHALLENGE: The difficulty of this project lies in the randomness, individuation and artistry of modeling. It can't be produced in batches, but can only be combined with mold and hand grinding. The modeling presented is unique, which is full of challenges for designers.
