DESIGN NAME: Wolffstrunk
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Corporate Identity
INSPIRATION: Less is more. This is even true for the consumption of high-proof alcohol as well as for good design. Graphic reduction and precision characterize the new visual identity in a media wide communication which, continues in a strict and graphic visual language by a consistent and smart play with the metaphor wolf. The brand Wolffstrunk appears modern, genuine, unique and with a good portion of confident humour.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Gerhard Wolff sells under the brand name Wolffstrunk the finest fruit schnapps and fruit liqueurs which, are produced in his private distillery in Extertal. The idea, concept and design of a new appearance and furthermore the development of a comprehensive corporate design system and communication concept for the brand Wolffstrunk are the thematic foundation of my bachelor thesis.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The word and design mark renounces ornaments and excesses in any shape or form. A memorable and distinctively recognizable design has priority, since something that is simply designed, is easy to remember.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was my bachelor thesis and took about 4 month time.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The corporate design includes the design and concept of a composite mark, business documents, bottle labels, posters, postcards and a brand book as well as a short website animation. This identity was mainly made with the Adobe Creative Suite. The whole corporate design was printed on high-quality paper.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The graphically reduced figure of the wolf functions as a basis for the visual appearance and as a new design mark within the corporate design system of the brand Wolffstrunk. Added to the figure of the wolf is the stylized shape of a drop. The reduced design mark is neat, clear and modern designed. It follows the trend towards a simplified use of forms.
CHALLENGE: The main challenge was to create a movable design mark version. The wolf with a movable head. It provides the corporate design system with a large portion of confident humour and allows a dynamic design of all variations of advertising material.
