| DESIGN NAME: Xray PRIMARY FUNCTION: Chair INSPIRATION: The idea was born from the image that melts into the air. Xray CHAIR was designed to adapt itself to the interior space naturally by the light image. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: X-ray chair is a design that a back side is erased like an x-ray, and brought translucent lightness. Because wood is used for the part of the seat and legs which needed structural strength and other parts which needed few burden become frames, as a result, lightweight chair can be obtained. x-ray chair is designed to adapt itself to the interior space naturally by the light image. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: I was excited when the x-ray image reflected the chair, PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2018 in Tokyo and finished in February 2020 in tokyo. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This chair uses Japanese oak wood.
