PRIMARY FUNCTION: Smart Assistant for Conference Room
INSPIRATION: More and more employees aspire to work in a smart office environment. Just as voice assistants such as Amazon Echo, Google Home, and Apple Siri can easily create smart homes, voice interactions can also create smart office spaces. The intelligent conference room hardware - NIRO-Hi brings new voice interaction experience for users with the help of AI. All the hardware in the conference room can be controlled by voice, greatly improving the efficiency of the meeting.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In the past, the efficiency of traditional voice conference products is quite low, users had to complete many steps to set up a conference and enter complex information.The entire user experience is not smooth.The NIRO-Hi conference smart device brings more intelligent assistant to meetings powered by AI technologies.Users use voice to control NIRO-Hi without hands-on operation. Users do not need any manual information input, they can directly locate contacts through voice and start voice communication. In addition to basic meeting functions. User can also remotely control all IOT hardware during meeting with voice recognition interaction, including air conditioner, curtain, projector & lighting. The top dynamic light belt has rich status indication delivering a smart and agile use experience. NIRO-Hi can interconnect mobile phones & computers to complete high-quality online meetings.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Combining voice wake-up, voice recognition interaction and touch screen interaction, NIRO-Hi supports self-developed hardware and customized systems and software algorithms to provide services such as VoIP / PSTN phone, IOT control, conference room reservation management to improve conference and office efficiency. It can be easily configured, operated, and maintained through code scanning on a mobile terminal. In special cases, users can still touch the screen and touch buttons on the top to control the product.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in March 2019 in Beijing and ends in January 2020.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Leading smart microphone array processing technology and acoustic structure design: intelligently select the near-end speaker's voice signal and shield the interference signal. NIRO-Hi not only can further improve the noise cancellation effect by more than 10dB compared with traditional noise reduction technology, but also can effectively suppress the adverse effect of reverberation on audio quality

CHALLENGE: After a careful study of the technical boundaries of acoustic hardware, we discovered that reducing the height of the speaker and microphone and extending the space between is beneficial to enhancing the microphone's ability to suppress the speaker to achieve a better user experience, so we determine our final design to adapt triangular arrangement of three microphones
