RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The restaurant located in a trendy and art mall, which required the stores in it to meet its upbeat style. Designer has to come up with a new design trend, which is new orient, to think out of the boundary and well crossover the elements of Art Deco and Japanese minimalism.
CHALLENGE: To combine two different extreme styles in this restaurant is a challenge. The minimalism of Japanese culture and the larger than life style of Art Deco sounds contradict to each. Designer has to make smart selection on the two styles to make customer accept this new Japanese fine dining experience. On the technique, the ceiling height is low, the requirement of multi ventilation, and sound absorption are main challenge.
