Interview with Oleksii Chernov at Sunday 19th of May 2019 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? OC: We created a brand based on psychology. The most important thing was to create a corporate identity that would be completely aimed at the target audience. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? OC: We wanted to achieve a simple and memorable symbol in the logo. As well as a bright and recognizable corporate identity that combines life energy and money. I think we coped with this task. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? OC: Design works great for the client and develops further. Increasingly complicating and delving into new branches of the company. We can only proud of the work done. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? OC: We spent a month on the logo. About 2 more months for corporate identity. This included the selection of colors, shapes, fonts and the creation of this whole complex. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? OC: Yes, was commissioned. The design works great for the client, bringing him profit and recognition. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? OC: This design is used by another company. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? OC: As always, the client came and we did the work. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? OC: I do not remember all the projects in which we were looking for inspiration. But there were many. We needed to unite 2 spheres that do not match. so we looked at a lot of examples every day. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? OC: Successful people who change their lives. People who care about their health, are constantly engaged in life with something new and at the same time earn good money. Often these are members of a network business. FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? OC: It is completely different. Not one competitor in this field of business will not be able to compete with us. Not a single company in this area thought about quality design. Our client was the first. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? OC: The company we work with is called Pride. This name was chosen because the goal of the product is not only to educate people and their development, but also to unite them into one community. in one pride. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? OC: Pencil and paper were the main in the early stages. Of course, Photoshop and Illustrator helped us bring the entire corporate identity to the ideal. FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? OC: The fact that it is fully built on the psychological portrait of customers. FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? OC: We have done almost all the work ourselves. If we lacked skills or knowledge somewhere, we went to look for and learn the information we need. FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? OC: the role of technology is minimal. This symbol can be drawn and pen on paper. He will remain the same anyway. Style is not important, shape is important. FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? OC: Very influenced. Before we started work on the design, we studied the client. His behavior on the Internet, his behavior in the community. We studied the client very much to create a really high-quality product. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? OC: How to combine into one concept a lot of completely different topics, and direct them to the same target audience. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? OC: We received an invitation letter to submit this case. We were very afraid, but still decided to submit a design for the competition. FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? OC: We studied a lot of information about printing, as well as how to quickly and easily sort large volumes of information. After all, the project itself is very large, much wider than shown in the case.
