Interview with Junda Liu at Thursday 18th of April 2019 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? JL: The main principle is that science fiction, including the love of science fiction movies, the deconstruction and reorganization of the film industry process, is integrated into the design creation system. Inspired by architectural structures and mechanical aesthetics. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? JL: From design to production, most of the shoes rely on industrial resources, and it is really difficult for individuals to make high-quality works. So getting this award is really hard, and the middle process is very difficult. After the award, I will continue to maintain the standard and make better works. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? JL: Half a year. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? JL: I decided to pursue inspiration. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? JL: Used by another company. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? JL: Zhang Xiang ,Ghost Chen ,Tadao Ando,Ieoh Ming Pei FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? JL: Believe in the power of sensibility. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? JL: A lot of questions were raised during the implementation process. FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? JL: Motivation is something that happens when there is a problem or failure.
