Interview with Bruce Tao at Friday 22nd of February 2019

FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
BT: I observed that when the kindergarten teacher played games with the children, the children often gathered around the teacher. I was inspired by the chain of the bicycle and wanted to design a kindergarten bench that could be Linked or disassembled quickly, so the Linking Stool came into being. At the same time, Linking Stool allows more kids to be more intimate and learn to share based on the combination.

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
BT: 1. Most kindergarten benches are used as independent furniture. As there are many children in kindergartens, the benches are placed in a scattered way. 2. The original kindergarten bench structure is relatively simple, which cannot meet the different needs in the process of kindergarten educational activities. Moreover, the single stool can only accommodate one child.

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
BT: 1 Year

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
BT: The utility model belongs to the bench technology field, especially for a can connect each other through the chain structure of the bench, including the bench seat body, described a seat on a bench seat body is mainly composed of plate, connecting plate and the support legs, described on to sit on the board there are links to open hole, described the connection plate is located in the on board as described above, down to the bottom of the connecting plate fixed connection Settings are described connecting shaft, described the connection plate and described by plate through a connecting shaft card fixed; Through hole on the bench and stool body open connections, add in the upper part of the bench seat body connection plate, connecting plate beneath the set has a connecting shaft connecting hole diameter is equal, in the class activities, will be connected by connecting shaft and connecting hole plate installed in the middle of the two bench seat body, connect multiple bench seat body together, make more children can play games together around the teacher, facilitates the management of the adult to the infant child, and facilitate the management of quality to foster children 's share close to each other at the same time.

FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
BT: Children

FS: Thank you for providing us with this opportunity to interview you.
