Interview with Masahiko Sato at Monday 20th of May 2019 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? MS: I'd love to keep creating the space that makes life joyful and pleasant; the space becomes more attractive and valuable by people who are enjoying it.so inspiration always coming through happy Family concept. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? MS: To have minimum opening on the outer side in order to protect privacy of the house, and create a stylistic beautiful facade FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? MS: 4 Months FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? MS: No. It is my design and it is unique. And also i have production rights on my own FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? MS: No. no one’s influenced me for this design. I just follow my instinct. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? MS: Genuine Customer who needed a house for him and his family. FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? MS: Entrance hall and inner Gardens FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? MS: Customer Name with shape of the design FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? MS: I used Dra cad,Sketchup and Photoshop. FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? MS: Minimum opening to outside while protecting Privacy. FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? MS: I finished this design with of skilled engineers, such as Structural engineer, Electrical Engineer. FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? MS: Local environment and context is effect for this design. It helps to think about what kind of design is suitable for the place. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? MS: I wanted more people to know our design. FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? MS: I learn a lot new things and new technologies due to complex of the design. FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions? MS: No, Thank you very much.
