Interview with Masoud Aghaei at Wednesday 25th of July 2018 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? MA: Iranian people do not usually read newspaper. in this challenge i tried to show a fun newspaper that is advertising and every one likes to read it entirely. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? MA: several question has been made in this newspaper that was basically the questions of people about Hamed brand. i tried to reply all of the in a funny way. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? MA: the idea and the illustration and lay out takes about 12 months. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? MA: the older advertising medias of Hamed brand had been ineffective. i need a new fresh idea to attract people. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? MA: no. i dont want to sell it. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? MA: my interest to a new advertising media FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? MA: all designs and illustrations and lay out and even ideas was made by me. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? MA: All people FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? MA: people do not expecting a fun newspaper in red and black color that dont speak about routine events. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? MA: all made by CG. FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? MA: shocking view of a routine media FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? MA: i was obligated to write all fake and fun interviews by me. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? MA: i think it could be effective to other designer also i can learn of other designers too. FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? MA: i tried to be a good writer not just a designer.
