VK: Many Usage to Single Furniture as Much as Possible. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? VK: It Is Not Made Yet. So I Am Waiting for Sponsor to Make It as I Am a Student Now and I Do Not Have Much Money. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? VK: The Concept Stage Took Really Long as I Have to Work With With Many Combination and Find the Best Combination Out of It. Then the Presentation Also Took Long as I Had to Select the Options That I Had to Present as There Is Infinite Design Possibilities in This Design. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? VK: It Was My Inspiration to Create Space Saving Furniture for the Future as We Do Not Have an Option in the Future. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? VK: I Intent to Produce My Work Myself First and Then I Am Planning to Sell or Lease the Production Right. I Also Do Not Mind to Lease the Production Rights if It Is a Really Good Company. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? VK: Its to Save Space. The Designers Have Just to Spend Some Extra Time to Get a Good Multipurpose Design. And if We Do That We Save Material, Space and That Design Could Be Produced Infinite Number of Times. So, Its Just That Few Hours of Extra Thought Which Could Make a Huge Change in the Society for the Future. And So I Did It. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? VK: No One Actually Other Than the Motivation From My Parents When I Was Designing. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? VK: It Could Be Used in Home, Office, Institution or Any Other Place as Well . So I Welcome Clients From All the Fields. FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? VK: Its That You Cannot T See It as Multipurpose When You See It as a Bookshelf at First . But Then Its a Surprise for the Client That He Could Dismantle to All These (Bar Seating, dining Table, Storage Unit, Partition With Storage) as Well. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? VK: It Is a Bookshelf That Has Multiple Purpose in It. So I Called It Multipurpose Bookshelf. Simple as That. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? VK: Max for Modelling and Rendering. FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? VK: It Saves Space and Gives the User Many Options. So It Gives the User to Decide to How and What to Do With It. It Is Very User Friendly as the User Can Decide How He Could Use It in Other Ways Than His Regular Usage as Bookshelf. And the Money He Is Going to Use Is the Same as Any Other Normal Furniture. But Here He Is Going to Get the Benefit of Three or More Furniture by Investing the Same Money as What He Is Going to Invest for One. FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? VK: I Did Not Collaborate With Anyone. I Did Everything Myself FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? VK: Its a Simple Design. There Is No Technology Required. He Can Arrange It Manually by Himself. So No Energy Wastage and No Wastage to Technology Manufacturing as Well. FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? VK: Research Was on the Basic Household Furniture Set Necessary in Any House. Then Various Arrangements of It Were Experimented to Get the Compact Set Possible. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? VK: The Challenging Part Was to Get the Correct Height of Table and Boxes So That the Boxes Serves the Function of Both Book Storage and Seating Unit in Various Arrangements. It Is a Challenge to Do the Exact Proportion and Dimension of Reading Table Cum Bar Table as It Has to Be Pleasant Looking in Both Ways When Used.
