Interview with Simone Mantovani at Wednesday 17th of January 2018

FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
SM: This residencial building was concepted in three floors, based on bold design, giving maximum emphasis to space integration, comfort and privacy. The utilization of natural massive stone blocks in the street blind facade was the first inspirational guidance that led us to the overall solutions.

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
SM: The main focus was to give privacy and spatial integration to this town house. In addition, bring scenographic effects to the facades and interior spaces through the materials and type of structure chosen.

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
SM: Between conception and tecnical drawings, about 5 months.

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
SM: Considerations about its surroundings, my personal believes, the clients needs. It was concepted for a young family with two kids.

FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
SM: Yes, it was built for a client.

FS: Thank you for providing us with this opportunity to interview you.
