FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
MS: The communication between family members.
FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
MS: the scenery of the environment, designed in hope that family can spend a good times together within the house safely with ease of mind, and sense of proud on their houses.
FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
MS: To be able to do similar work outside japan
FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
MS: Its just happen and born naturally as a product of my way of thinking.
FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
MS: We want to ensure the privacy and safety, and also create a living space which makes family members happy and easy.
FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
MS: No
FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
MS: By highlighting the terrace and entrance wall with red cedar and tile finish, and by giving a white color finish to the parapet and half wall that extruded 2 meter away from the inner wall, it delivers a modern design with sense of three dimensional.
FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
MS: No
FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
MS: It has important role especially in design development to supervision phase.
FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
MS: We won some a silver award last year so we are feel very confident and motivated to achieve higher prize this year as our goal.
