Interview with Siam Attariya at Thursday 10th of May 2018

FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
SA: Design created by the audience.

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
SA: Get more participation from the audience.

FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
SA: Nothing special.

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
SA: The whole project took 3 months.

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
SA: The concept developed from the content of the event. It was a commission project.

FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
SA: We designed this project for our client, Thailand Creative and Design Center.

FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
SA: The requirement from the client.

FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
SA: Pop culture always influences me.

FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
SA: Designers, programmer, and enterprenuer.

FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
SA: In this project, we designed the process and let the audience create the design.

FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
SA: It came from the client.

FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
SA: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, 3d StudioMax, etc.

FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
SA: Concept.

FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
SA: We worked with several talented design studios. Craftsmanship for the photobooth, Red Lab for the Facebook Quiz, and DigiFriend for the Real-time audience infographic.

FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
SA: It helped us convey the complicated messages quite well. On the other hand, it allows the audience to get involved with the project on the social network.

FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
SA: We studied the data from the years before and create the design process.

FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
SA: We created the platform like a blank canvas, the audience completed the design. it's an experiment for us, we're not sure what's going to happen.

FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
SA: I got the invitation.

FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
SA: I've learned a lot of new things, with a lot of talented people. Most of them I don't sure that I could do it.

FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?
SA: Nothing Special.
