Interview with Frida Hultén at Thursday 12th of April 2018 FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? FH: I prefer to produce myself. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? FH: I always like to consider all parts of the torso. The back should be just as important! FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? FH: No. FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? FH: Not only the fact that it has detail at the back, it can be work back to front. Two different looks! FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? FH: It was named after the Byzantine Empress Theodora, wife of Justinian 1, 6th Century. FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? FH: Not only the fact that it has detail at the back, it can be work back to front. Two different looks! FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? FH: No technology involved. FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? FH: History research only. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? FH: It was my most interesting piece. FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? FH: Patience!
