SE: global warming FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? SE: to deliver the message of awareness about the dangers of melting ice FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? SE: to manufacture it FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? SE: 3 months FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? SE: to give the focus on natural problems by design FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? SE: I may lease the production right in the future FS: What made you design this particular type of work? SE: to spread the message as it is a simple ice bucket that can be anywhere FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? SE: no FS: Who is the target customer for his design? SE: all the businesses men or companies especially all that matters with natural problems FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? SE: it is an ice bucket with an awareness message FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? SE: hourglass as it looks like an hourglass FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? SE: sketching thin modeling FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? SE: it has a concept and it can be understood right away when you look at it FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? SE: no FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? SE: CNC machines can cut the hourglass part FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? SE: yes, research about designing furniture with a concept FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? SE: to transform the idea of melting ice into an ice bucket FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? SE: by seeing your competition on arch-daily FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
