Interview with Peng Su at Saturday 30th of June 2018

FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
PS: The purpose of the design is to hope that more students have the dream of studying and going to college.

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
PS: Inspiration: primary school kids in no man's land, they don't have the conditions to go to school, but they love to learn, and the design was inspired by their desire to learn.

FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
PS: Let more people use this product, more people know about this product. I hope the work can help more people who need help.

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
PS: It was designed very quickly, because it was something from the heart.

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
PS: This is a design that I made for myself, hoping to solve some of the problems in this society with design.

FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
PS: Peter works for us. We're only in charge of design.

FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
PS: Feelings

FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
PS: Maybe this design solves the problem of environmental protection and brings dreams to people. This is the soul of the design product.

FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
PS: The Chinese name is [number one pen], meaning to learn the Golden list title in English is translated with the help of a friend.

FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
PS: 3DMAX

FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
PS: Design close to life

FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
PS: TEAM

FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
PS: Perfect design

FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
PS: Design close to life, is the problem that can be seen in ordinary life. All we have to do is find them and solve the problem.

FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
PS: Transformation from Design concept to Product manufacture

FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
PS: Chance to know the purpose of hope that more people see this work, hoping to work with this work to solve social problems. It also gives designers an idea of the purpose of doing the design work.

FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
PS: Continuous learning, material, technology, design direction has been improved
