LZ: This design is the unite of healthy food, beauty and taste. The main purpose was to bring these all in one package.

FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
LZ: We hope to mass produce this design and finally see it in the market.

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
LZ: We decided to pursuit an inspiration.

FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
LZ: No, this design is not produced but we are planing to sell if there will be any offers.

FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
LZ: Now a days, in this world is not enough if something is just practical. We want everything practical, beautiful and healthy. This design brings it all together, the beauty of Egyptian figures depicted on a cinnamon roll, the smart use of cinnamon roll structure as a container for honey, the combination of these two which is heavenly good, its taste and its scent and above all these its nutrition value. These all could be a symbol of heaven in your cup of tea.

FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
LZ: No, this design is a group work of two designers ( Ladan Zadfar and Mohammad Farshad ).

FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
LZ: The target customer could be any company that is interested in producing a complete new product.

FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
LZ: Heaven Drop is a combination of cinnamon and honey in one piece. The honey is packed inside of the cinnamon roll by beeswax and when you put it in a hot cup of tea beeswax will melt and the honey will come out of the roll into the cup and sweeten your tea so you can have the sweetness and flavor of honey besides the taste and scent of cinnamon.

FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
LZ: The wonderful combination of cinnamon and honey considering their taste and scent together with beautiful Egyptian figures on the cinnamon roll, can give you this feeling that you are experiencing a drop of heaven in your cup of tea. That is the reason we came up with this name for this design.

FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
LZ: A cinnamon roll filled with honey that has Egyptian figures depicted on its outer surface in order to celebrate the first culture that realized the importance of cinnamon, Egyptians! We used the structure of cinnamon rolls as a container for honey. The inner surface of rolls are isolated with beeswax.Beeswax is also used to pack the two bottoms of rolls after filling them with honey. This design is also a hundred percent environmentally friendly.

FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
LZ: No, this design is a group work of two designers ( Ladan Zadfar and Mohammad Farshad ).

FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
LZ: This design’s production has several phases.First phase is depict phase that cinnamon sheets will be depicted and the sheets diameter will become one size. In second phase cinnamon sheets will be cut in a specified size, the third step is isolating the inner surface with beeswax and then is time for rolling the sheets which it needs metal rollers to help them roll in an appropriate way .In the next level one bottom of the rolls will be closed with beeswax, then they will be filled with honey and as the final phase the other bottom will be also packed with beeswax.

FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
LZ: We did a background research on cinnamon and honey and their nature, we studied all different kinds of cinnamon and honey and their combination.

FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
LZ: Most European and Asian countries use tea as their daily drinks and what people use besides their cup of tea is important. We looked for a different angle in order to create a whole new product to give everyone perfection in their daily drink.

FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
LZ: We wanted to evaluate our work as designers and we also wanted to realize how this design perform itself internationally and professionally.

FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
LZ: Every design has its own challenges and every challenge make you learn more, think more and gives you constructive experiences. So each time you try to make a difference it leads you to a different world of experience.
