Interview with Richard Kun at Monday 6th of February 2017 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? RK: flAVATAR - Magical Flowers were inspired by the movie, Avatar. I wanted to recreate James Cameron's vision by bringing glowing flowers to life. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? RK: I wanted to create flowers and plants that are glowing in the dark. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? RK: I want flAVATAR - Magical Flowers to be known worldwide. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? RK: It took 1 year. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? RK: In Europe I intetnt to produce it myself, but I am willing to sell the technologies to buyers from other continents. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? RK: I was inspired by James Cameron's Avatar movie. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? RK: I was inspired by James Cameron's Avatar movie. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? RK: Everyone. FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? RK: As far as I know there is no such product on the market. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? RK: I was inspired by James Cameron's Avatar movie. I combined the word Avatar with flowers. FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? RK: As far as I know there is no such product on the market. FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? RK: No.
