FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
NS: an endless loop of events, like a dream possible can be

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
NS: simplicity and complexity, a co-existence of contrast

FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
NS: sell it and promote it, of course, also keep evolving

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
NS: Actually it came from a design that didn't nominated las year. I just want to play with it.

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
NS: It's rather an inspiration pursuit, in which is a simple mechanism of elements can be very interesting.

FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
NS: My design was not used by another company. Either selling or leasing the production rights is OK.

FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
NS: It's rather interesting. I have teaching architectural design for freshman for years. To deliver my concept and to inspire students, I would like to have this design as a demonstration of lighting installations.

FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
NS: no

FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
NS: interior designers, architects, or anyone who wants to decorate a space of interest

FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
NS: Industrial product was used as an appropriate form for representation.

FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
NS: An endless loop just likes a dream it never ends. This is where the name come from.

FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
NS: Very traditional one like hand-made. But to incorporate the metaphor of dream, a comprehensive research effort was made to find an appropriate form of industrial product for representation.

FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
NS: a mathematic concept into a metaphor of on-and-on dreaming

FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
NS: I did all by myself and enjoy that.

FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
NS: If these is any involvement of technology, it would be the mathematic concept applied to conduct the entire piece into an almost continuous loop.

FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
NS: "Möbius band" was influential and lead the configuration from parallel axis to an endless band.

FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
NS: To conduct a paradigm shift with the development of concept and details would be most challenging.

FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
NS: It's a great opportunity to open up your eyes and to have a strong connection to professionals.

FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
NS: I guess a simple modification is not feasible, a paradigm shift will do.

FS: Thank you for providing us with this opportunity to interview you.
