FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
QH: Spatial practice describes the cohesive patterns and places of social activity. The street around Paternoster Square is my observation location. I use multi-methods to explore the relationships between people's behavior and space structure. The aim is trying to find out the possibilities of people using space in place. On the other hand, nowadays, the production in space transforms into production of space. According to Foucault's 'Of Other Spaces: Utopias and Heterotopias', the the transformation must rely on a kind of medium to achieve. This is what I want to present through my design.
