Interview with Basic Design at Thursday 21st of April 2016

FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
ZL: We hope to bring the breath of nature into the room, feel the original North American style.

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
ZL: Not clinging to ideas, but through the plain, the sun to reflect the taste of life.

FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
ZL: No plans, only to continue to work hard.

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
ZL: Our design cycle is generally 2-3 months.

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
ZL: This is based on the characteristics of the Apartments to recommend owners.

FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
ZL: This is a real estate development projects, design is more in order to serve the owners of sales.

FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
ZL: From my pursuit of the life of nature.

FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
ZL: Of course there will be, because there are a lot of senior hava the same concept, which was affecting my design concept.

FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
ZL: Family residence for successful people.

FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
ZL: May be because the concept is similar to each other.

FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
ZL: Name form the customers.

FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
ZL: Auto Cad and 3D Max, Photoshop.

FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
ZL: There is nothing special, but it is just the place where people feel the most natural.

FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
ZL: We are a team to complete a project, the team basically contains professional and technical personnel.

FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
ZL: The role of technology in this particular design is mostly to show a kind of life attitude to the customer.

FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
ZL: Did not rely on the data or analytical research, more withthe taste of space embodied in the individualism.

FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
ZL: Material control, the more a single material with the greater the difficulty of control.

FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
ZL: To participate in the competition is a good way to verify the work.

FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
ZL: Here we learn to leave the habit of the past, and through constant practice to awaken their own perception of things.

FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?
ZL: Design should be a happy thing, it needs time and perseverance.
